What seemed like fantasy just yesterday has become routine today: artificial intelligence has become an integral part of our lives. Human-like systems such as Siri or ChatGPT are just the visible, “hype-driven” tip of the iceberg; often, we don’t even notice how AI helps us automate mundane tasks every day, saving our time and energy for greater productivity and/or better rest.
In many Noveo projects, AI capabilities are also being used. We develop applications that analyze data, streamline processes, and scale resources, opening new perspectives for our clients.
For instance, one of our recent projects demonstrates how AI can help in the fight against environmental pollution. To detect illegal dumps, we created a solution consisting of two main components: solar-powered surveillance cameras and a platform used by environmental services. The cameras transmit video to the platform, which is immediately analyzed by AI. The algorithms quickly identify violations, allowing users to respond to specific cases without constantly monitoring the cameras. Our team also added features for classifying video by waste type, analyzing time-lapse footage, and generating statistical reports. A new turn of progress - when technologies help the planet!
Another project showcases how AI can accelerate and refine data processing in architectural design. Construction companies, inspectors, and property owners can order aerial photography on a specialized platform, receiving high-quality images, videos, and 3D models of buildings. After a drone captures the object, the data is uploaded to the platform, where AI analyzes it and provides a detailed report with measurements of all structural elements. This not only simplifies the work but also opens new possibilities for planning and construction.
Here’s another example, this time related to everyday health care devices (smart toothbrushes, scales, fitness trackers): these gadgets help not only monitor health but also gather important data on users' habits and health status. We implemented neural networks in C++ to make these devices even smarter and developed AI libraries for image processing and gesture recognition. AI can truly support people in their pursuit of a healthy lifestyle by facilitating analysis and adjustment of habits and health status.
